Werent Blood Orange, Citric and Blueprint bright? Envi is actually faded as is the new and horrible offshore.

Hey Mondie,

I've just handed back to Ford (stupidly as it turns out) the Ford Australia BA Fairmont Ghia in Offshore, and I have a picture here too attached.....

For a luxury colour Offshore is fine in my opinion, remembering that Luxury cars aren't normally stand outs in the colour department.

an absolute rubbish colour. I had a close up look at an XR8 in that colour and think its a pi$$ poor attempt at Holdens Hothouse colour.

Back to the paint machine in the local bunnings for that designer

Love blood orange and venom. Therefore vixen would probably do it for me too - though I haven't seen one in the flesh. HgAg is superb (would be nice on a Bentley Continental GT) and lightning strike is OK, but too similar to "japcrap silver", which is as common as dirt.

Blue pearl is magnificent on a GT. I like citric acid, but things seem to run into it or land on it. Acid rush is aptly named - think of acidic gastric contents rushing to the exterior - sure, it can look great under the right circumstances, but ends up looking "dirty" most of the time.

Zest is an old fogey's colour similar to "japcrap champagne gold" Blueprint and envi are versions on a theme - light/mid blue and green with glitter+. Silhouette is black! - enough said! Phantom is pretty - but so is a violet crumble package! WW is white - enough said!

BUT offshore is a gorgeous colour! Evokes images and feelings of serene, tropical blue waters. I'd have it in an instant. Would be great with black leather interior and dark tinted windows. Why isn't it available on XR's.

All this only shows that colour is a very personal choice and I'm getting bored and angry doing work reports. BUT I LOVE OFFSHORE!

PS Have yet to see anything to support the rumours of the demise of HgAg - it's stil on the Ford website. Anyway anything that makes it more exclusive is fine by me - it never should've been available across the range - leave that to LS!

Me too!

Surely it can't be offshore - but, if it is, it just goes to show that colour preferences are a very individual thing. Otherwise, we'd all drive the same colour and there'd be no "colour wars".
