I am thinking of getting the Phase 2 APS upgrade, my car is also manual, how are you finding the clutch slip ?

Have you tried any hard launches or runs down the 1/4 mile ?

I need to know if I have to cost in a HD clutch on top of the P2.

Thanks for posting your dyno sheets from Bob Hawkins, looks like the utes making good power on 95Ron fuel that's for sure ... am very very jealous :o

Is it still running nicely with no idling/stalling issues?

Also hows Vern s car going ... has he installed the APS Phase III kit yet?

No idea on Vern's car as yet ... but will drop in next week and find out.

Have never had idling or stalling issues since new and the kit has not changed that so am very happy. It doesn't idle like a fairlane ... but seems very similar to everyone elses comments on the idle. She sure has some sting now!! Loving every second... had a shiny new lancer evo (7?) show off next to me but I enjoyed embarrising him.

The clutch is holding up ok and only once have I really gone for a hard launch and realised the only thing spinning was the clutch!!

That was early days and I was still learning how to launch it and get the power down. Not done a 1/4 mile yet - but one day I am sure.

I find the only thing that gives in first gear is the tyres... (and 2nd) ...and after you feed it into 3rd the clutch can be felt letting go ever so slightly as it builds huge power... (although if you are still feeding it in 3rd then you best be on a long open .. private ... road !!!

In my opinion I think the clutch will last out ok - so I wouldn't factor it in the initial outlay! Depends if you do track work or not perhaps?

Mate just had a quick look and the power graph, looks very nice (for 95 RON fuel) and I suspect that the power will improve further as the engine is fully run in.

I would ask Vern (DYNOLINK) to recheck the engine tune after 10,000 kms to make sure that the boost level and air/fuel mixtures are mapped to the optimum level, other than this I am sure you must be one very happy camper. :lol:
