Gee...I feel so warm inside. j/k :D Same thing has happened to me (probably all of us) dude and I'm up here in canetoad land. I am only in the standard BA XR6 though, not a turbo. Guy was probably out to defend his crown in land of the dickless. It happens though. Hey I've had dudes in Holden's pull up alongside of me and cheer me on for just owning a cool looking car, see people in Fords act like retards, go figure.A few years back, I used to sware by a cap I saw once, the caption said: "Why was Expensive Daewoo created"? To keep the Fu**wits from driving Fords"! Now I believed this through and through as it did appear true from my perspective driving from one side of brisbane to the other each day. Guys I'd hate to say it but a good 75% to 80% of my idiot encounters were with Expensive Daewoo drivers. It's complete rubbish now, you get your courteous, impatient, hopeless, fatigued, speed junkie, hero drivers no matter what they drive. It's not a warzone out there, it's a bl**dy ROAD for **** Sake!!! Calm down. Be Cool and think,: It's not how fast you get there, it's how cool you look getting there!!
Guest JESMAL Guests Posted 20/02/03 05:13 AM Share Posted 20/02/03 05:13 AM Wow! That's nicely put....It's NOT how fast you get there, it's how COOL you look getting there......I totally agree. I've had other Ford drivers drive up to me at the lights and had a short brief chat, mostly commending each other on our nice cars...sometimes Expensive Daewoo ones do too (but far less than Ford ones). But this? Mannn....we don't need that. Maybe it has got something to do with the FordXR6Turbo.com sticker that I have at the rear windscreen. Asking for too much trouble I guess. People may think I'm just a poser hoping to drive a BA XR6Turbo. Sad..... You deserve a warm hug, even when you arrived a little late for the group hug.... Think I'll join you Exactly.........Why can't we all get along? The "Fordxr6Turbo.com" sticker works for me and I don't have a "Turbo", people have taken note of it so cool, if it attracts people to this site then it's serving it's purpose. Main reason why it's there, to promote this killer site. + the fact that it looks COOL!!! :D
Guest womandriver Guests Posted 23/02/03 11:07 AM Share Posted 23/02/03 11:07 AM My brother raced cars in the past and at one of his training days, they were being warned against trying to race on the road. As they got told that day, if you race someone on the road, you'll never know if you win, only if you lose....I got blown away by a Barina this afternoon - pulled up at a set of lights in light rain along the Hume around Enfield and this oldish guy, who'd been doing lots of ducking and weaving, came up beside me. Lights changed, I moved off, accelerating smoothly to the 60kph speed limit. He takes off, wheels spinning, engine screaming, edges ahead as I back off, then slams on the brakes and turns into a driveway a few metres up the road. Probably thinks he won too!
