I can think of one advantage-

It would fool cars next to you at the lights into thinking that you were driving the slower XR8 not the super quick XR6T. :)

I passed an XR8 today and the bonnet is not as noticeable on the road as you would think looking at head on photos of a stationary XR8. Anyway I agree that the bulge is neither here no there, perhaps makes it look a bit fatter which of course it is, 50 or 60 kg's fatter.

Why on earth you would want to stick the XR8 bonnet on a sleeker looking XRT I have no idea. It says 'I own a turbo but I wish I had a V8".

I agree - the best way to get the bulge is to buy the XR8 - but why would you when the XR6T is so much better (= faster and cheaper)

I think its a better idea for the XR6T puts on the GT front bar, rear wing and bumper bar...the message will then be..."I'm TURBOCHARGED AND I'M F***ING FAST!!!!"

Seems to be alot of high and mighty people here! Maybe people such as Mommers just like the more agressive look of the XR8's bonnet. Everyone here seems to think people want this bonnet so the can look like an XR8 which I don't think is the case.

If you like that styling - go for it! It doesn't mean you're an XR8 wannabee which is what people seem to be implying.

Can you get the XR8 style bonnet on the XR6 Turbo??????

Im sure you can since both cars are the same dimensions. But sounds a bit ricey to me. Whatever the reasons. And im guessing it would cost a fair bit.

Probably better spending that money on performance mods when they become more readily available.
