'Chernobyl Ghost town' pics. 18 years since the disaster, well worth the look.

I feel like a cold callous *beep* now!

It wasn't nice of me to make light of a situation like that.Still I believe that Nuclear Power, PROPERLY MAINTAINED AND SUPERVISED is the ONLY was we can produce power on a rational, large and long term scale.

I tend to agree. Imagine if electricity was discovered now. Bet it would be banned due to the hazards. (including suggested link between electromagnetic radiation and cancer)

And if the hazards of asbestos were properly managed instead of banning the stuff outright, we'd still have brakes and clutches that work.

I agree very sad. I would have hated to have gone through something like that..

An even scarier thing is that we Aussies may be the next target of something of that scale. Especially with our Nuclear reactor at Lucas Heights.

NA,

Thanks for posting the link.

As sickening to the gut that it is (looking at the horrors and pain endured by those poor souls) - even the word "Sarcophagus" sounds like something from a Satanic verse - sometimes it's good to be reminded of just how good life is for us here in this country at the moment...

Cheers mate.
