Hey everyone.

Just wondering about the APS kits and what they'll do for your factory warranty. (and insurance)

I've heard that installing these kits can be a problem at service time or on the odd occasion if the car has to be returned to ford for repairs.

I.e. I'd have to cough up for the repairs!

Should I let my insurance company know about the kit if I installed it?

Thanks

Noodle.

Noodle :hiwelcome:

Mate, most kits will void your waranty on engine and driveline components, so if in doubt , dont mod your car.

In terms of insurance , some will cover you , but there are a lot that wont.

Try AAMI , I found them really good to deal with , and mods are no problem as long as you include them on the policy.

You must let your insurer know of any mods, as if they are discovered subsequent to a claim and they are not on the policy you wont be covered.

Anyway do a search on these topics as there is plenty of info avaliable.

BTW whatcha drivin ?

White T

do you know if you get charged more for insurance if you have mods. Im planning on letting AAMI know about my phase III kit and brakes once installed.

Hi Owna,

Yes you do. You can check out their online insurance quotes at www.aami.com.au. I dont think it adjusts the price too much. I think most of the cost is dependant on your age, bonus and your location.
