HI Everyone

a certain feline is wanting to use my car  and whilst I have put her off with the usual, running the car in properly, when I have more time, not tonite honey I have a headache, this is fast wearing thin.

So it is inevtitable that she will drive it to the supermarket soon. So to stop the inevitable tears  (mine) when my T gets home from a reverse to close. I would like some help.

Does anyone have an aftermarket reverse sensing system they would recomend.

Or is the factroy one the best and can you get it put in aftermarket?

thanks in advance for your help

To bad the system won't stop other buggars backing into you.

My advice, forget putting those ugly things in the bumper and tell her to park in a safe place. I would rather walk abit further to get to the shops than get my T damaged.

The genuine Ford ones can be put in afterwards.

The sensors have to be colour coded (well they dont, but look terrible if you dont get them painted!)

From what I have heard, the genuine Ford system is very good.

Hope this helps. :bluegrab:

Mick, can we get the ford system from a friendly parts vendor such as yourself, and if so how many clams?

Friendly parts vendor? Me? you must be thinking of somebody else....

Trade price is $520. That is not fitted. You will have to get your local Ford dealer to reflash the ECU to recognise the reverse system, as it plays through your audio system.

This price doesnt include colour coding either, I can organise that if you like, or you can sort it out yourself. You'll be amazed what a spraypainter will do for a box of beer....

Hi Guys, I had the reverse sensors fitted in production and can vouch for their value. They are just great. No looking in the mirror anymore while reverse parking. Highly recommended :bluegrab:

Put a tow bar on your car.

When the car behind you moves, it's time to stop reversing.

Do you use a cat-a-board?

To prevent the claws and scratches? :bluegrab:

No. This is a strategy for when wife drives. But to be sure, just don't park behind her.

In any case I never park to close to people that have tow bars.
