Sorry for the double post but got it all back together and it's runs without any noises but is not boosting 🤦‍♂️

Anyone know the best way to check for leaks?

You might not have attached the actuator or it has no preload. You might have left a clamp loose. You might have left the boost sensor out. You might have left a rag in the front of the turbo. Check all the intercooler piping and drop the dump to see if the WG flap is sealed.

Can I check what you mean by preload? Assuming you mean wastegate actuator?

Also by boost sensor do you mean the solenoid? About to spray some soapy water around the intercooler piping to check for air leaks.

Thanks for your help.

EDIT - Question: Is it safe to drive (say to work and back) even though it's not boosting?

Yes. It isn't something you would usually change with a stock setup cos they aren't adjustable.

There is a boost sensor that goes into the piping and if it was left out it would create a large boost leak. You would hear a boost leak though.

More thank likely fine. I would check for the leak asap and get it fixed.
