So I purchased sealed wheel hubs and brake rotors on ebay and installed them.

The first drive for 10 minutes at 100km/h the wheel hub was smoking and really hot and the hub doesn't fit with the rotors the rotors said they fit fg xr6 and the hubs said they fit fg.

Is there a difference and why is the stud holes too big in the rotor causing them to wobble and knock.

What do I do? Do I just get new hubs to fit the rotors.

I'd check for runout where the hub and the rotor mount, just in case there's something there causing it to wobble.

If they're made for your car, they should fit... if they're perfectly fitting and still causing problems I'd be contacting the seller(s) to confirm it's all correct equipment.

Have you compared the new hubs and rotors with the old ones?

Were the parts you bought just standard replacements?

Are you sure it was the hubs that were smoking and not the brakes?

What did it smell like?

Is there any drag if the wheel is off the ground and you try spinning it?
