Fordtech is at the Clipsal 500. He's away until Wednesday. I don't know what this B30 stuff his your on about but before he left he put the latest "HJ" calibration in to my ute. It hasn't stalled yet, mind you it never has before though. Sorry I couldn't be of anymore help. :o

Hey FordTech, just wondering what your results have been with the new calibrations B30 .... has it resolved the stalling troubles?????

How many cars have you tried it on so far????

We took a N/A Man XR6 over to the Clipsal500 that had the calibration installed just before we left. This particular vehicle had a rough running on start up issue and an irratic idle.In the coarse of the journey the vehicle didnt play up once and also has a noticably smoother idle.Fingers crossed.

Mine's in for it's B30 flash tomorrow.

If the stalling does have anything to do with the heat (mine's only faltered in days >30C) then with the Sydney temps getting lower, I might not know whether or not this update works until the Spring time.

I had my car updated yesterday, with complete success my car had the problem quite severe and now runs smooth and no sign of rough idle or stalling. :B):

Jimmy

Mate you are making me feel real good about this issue now. Congrats and thanks! :B):

Let us know about what the overall performance difference is like please - such as idle, gear changes, power etc.

I'm really interested in any possible side effects...

I had a series I AU XR6 VCT, and in trying to fix a stuffed differential the dealer downloaded a PCM upgrade (at FoMoCo's direction) ! Completely destroyed the "feel" of the car ! :B):

After the "upgrade" it was never the same, the engine and transmission never worked together, and (surprisingly) it didn't fix the differential ! :B):

Please let us know if you think that it's changed the driveability of the car...

Thanks for the info.

I'm in for a service tomorrow anyway, so will hopefully get this new calibration flashed in.

Mine has been very bad at returning to idle when the A/C is on, so hopefully this will fix. I'll put in a report tomorrow night.

Mine was flashed today. I drove home in the thing. All seems the same to me. No stalls or anything though.

Time will tell I guess.

No differance in power, still a tyre smokin machine

My car is a 5 spd so no diff to gear changes

idle still a little shaky, but definately no where near stalling

over all very happy with the update, dont fear coming to a set of traffic lights now :beeer:
