All the pcm tec stuff would take me a while to wrap my head around but yeah that's the yarn for the day

Nice and smooth now though. Also swapped out all of my door lock actuator gears, Was fighting the temptation to upgrade the speakers while I was at it but I think I will sell the car, I can see myself falling down that rabbit hole very quick. You'd need an actuator too and with fitting and tuning will bring that up to nearly 10k. You'll be able to make mid to high 300s on 98 which is pretty decent. Much more than that and the trans will be overly stressed and the engine won't be very happy either. Would you sell your car now for 2 to 5k? That what will happen when you spend 10k on it and can only sell it for 12 to 15k if you're lucky. A tune only will take you from the stock 180awkw up to 220awkw, that might be an idea for a bit more poke.

The other thing I would want to do is timing chain and oil pump gears. I'm curious as to what you think they're worth at the moment? Can a tune as is take me to 220awkw? I'm no expert but I don't think any Ghia turbos came with the earlier ba turbo motors, I'm probably wrong though

The general consensus is 06/2006 onward have the better rods. Whether this is gospel, I don't know. As to their worth, it depends on condition. Anywhere from you couldn't pay me to take it up to 10k I suppose.
