When something doesn't move and it should, lubricate ;) on the other side, when something moves and it shouldn't, glue/tape/welding ;)

Honestly, I don't know what would cause it to actually be stuck so I'd be looking at heating up the metal rocker cover to expand it a bit and then forcing some oil or other lubrication into the area and then wiggling to get it out.

There's the removable type in the late BF and FG engines and the non removable type in the BA engines.

You have to lift the rocker cover at the right angle to get it off. Do not apply force or heat to anything.

When facing difficulty removing solenoids to access the rocket valve cover, first, ensure you've removed any securing bolts or clips. Apply a penetrating lubricant to loosen any corrosion. Gently wiggle and twist the solenoids while pulling upward. If they remain stuck, consider using a soft-faced mallet to tap them lightly from various angles. Exercise caution to avoid damage. If these methods fail, seek advice from automotive forums, consult the vehicle's manual, or consider professional assistance. Avoid excessive force to prevent damage, and patience combined with methodical attempts should help resolve the issue and allow you to successfully remove the solenoids.

it's good to see what comes from chatgpt every now and then without actually having to navigate to it ;)

The first sentence implies you have to remove the solenoids to get to the rocker cover aka the rocket valve cover.

Yeah nah, bin it

I've given this issue some thought...

While I understand your concern about ChatGPT potentially impacting car forums, it's important to remember that:

Forums benefit from diverse perspectives: A healthy forum thrives on a variety of viewpoints and experiences. While ChatGPT can generate text, it lacks the real-world context and personal touch that human users bring.

Human users can offer empathy, understanding, and nuanced advice that AI simply can't match. Encourage forum members to share their own experiences, troubleshoot problems collaboratively, and build a supportive community.

Ultimately, the best way to ensure the value of car forums lies in fostering a vibrant community of knowledgeable and engaged individuals. By focusing on human interaction, critical thinking, and clear guidelines, forums can continue to be a valuable resource for car enthusiasts, regardless of the tools they use to share information.
