They tell you crap like, "oh, the engine is so powerful it makes that noise because it's protecting the driveline from stress". Well, if it's protecting it, why doesn't it clunk all the time? When it shifts nice and smooth does that mean my driveline isn't being protected? Surely it should be all or nothing?Anyway, how dumb do you have to be to realise that the clunk sound can't actually be a good thing, the driveline is getting a 'shock' each time. The smooth changes are good for the driveline, not the clunking ones.Soon I'll get off my ass and get some action there next time it's going in for something else, otherwise all is good. Guest beloyg Guests Posted 19/03/04 07:20 AM Share Posted 19/03/04 07:20 AM have had steering shudded and clicking whilst turning a lot fairly common problem what you do is takr the steering mount nuts off and oil the threads to acheive the correct tension to minimize the threads from binding whist tensioning also had to replace the high pressure line between the pump and rack this can sometimes cause the shudder

Cassius Member 214 Member For: 21y 8m 10d Location: Ipswich...along the goat track Posted 20/03/04 01:09 PM Share Posted 20/03/04 01:09 PM I have a solution...beit not a good one...When you have your service, and you get your keys, they will be expecting payment for the service. What you should do is start to walk out, and when they say, "hey your suppose to pay for this service" turn round and say, "hmm....Its normal" and see what reaction you get. :hiwelcome:
