I spoke to Ford yesterday I still put forward my dissaproval of the gearbox. But said I will leave the diff issue as solved for now, and see what happens in the future.I will do everything to resolve the problem with the current one, as it runs beautifully, and I don't want to risk getting a gearbox that's worse. Been there done that! Once I have exhausted all possibilities with this one then I will push to change it as I genuinely believe it will get worse.Mondie, give me a call before Monday as I am then away for approx 6 weeks. I have told Agastino, my service manager, that I was getting you to call him. For anyone ordering a new diff, get your service manager to Call the diff supplier NOT order it online as per normal procedure. Ask them to request a grade 10 diff as you have been mucked around and this is unacceptable for a new car. Do not settle for the standard procedure as you may receive a diff that is worse than what you had. Thanks for the info JB, glad your problems are fixed, had my ute in for service yesterday and complained about diff whine and they agreed and ordered a new diff for me, I'm not sure how it was ordered but I will be ringing them tomorrow and asking for a grade 10 diff Call me if you want as they would have basically 'ticked a box' to order your new diff, and it will be luck of the draw. You need you dealer to go into battle for you and personally and vervbally request a grade 10 diff saying that you have been mucked around and your current one is really bad etc!!! Tell the supplier that you are an important customer, you have been mucked around and your last diff is pretty bad. More importantly they want to be supllied a Grade 10 diff, not a standard one. Then get them to keep in touch with the manufacturer, on it's progression. I know when the dealer rang me to tell me it was being sent out, that they had been contacted by the manufacturer to say they had 3 Grade 10 diffs availble on the floor. If you need any further info give me a call.
