JB, not much to update as yet.

Waiting on FPV, waiting on New Oak Ford to get involved, basically waiting for someone to tell me to *beep* off and there is nothing they can do!

Well she went in to the dealers for Diff no 3 today. This is meant to be the grade 10 diff that resolves all my problems, god I hope so.

Ended up waiting approx 10 weeks for it, but hopefully will be worth it. They are balancing the tailshaft, and I have asked them to look at the backlash settings. Apparently they have them? :spoton:

As I am typing this post the dealer has just called to let me know they would like to keep it until tommorrow, as they want to make sure everything is done properly. As I said to him they can have it for as long as they like if I get the car back with no probs :spoton:

Will let you know what happens when I pick her up tommorrow, hopefully this 'special grade 10 diff' I have been waiting on is all it has been made out to be! :ermm:

The service guy that came for a drive with me on monday told me that ford have said that they will no longer replace diffs for clunks or whines no matter what the circumstances.... Told him this is F@cked and that there are lot of p1ssed off customers.... after having a chat for a while he then said that if the clunk is bad enough they will fix it but only when they have a solution for it.... I think if a customer brings his car back in to say "hey, I have diff clunk" that should then be deemed bad enough as it is pissing the customer off..... I have my car booked in again for further examination in 2 weeks and will see what they say... told em if they dont fix it I want them to buy the car back off me..

Oh yeah, when the service guy drove it he actually got double clunks on his gear changes... Asked him if he noticed, he said yes but that's the way they have been since the AU... WTF!!! not the answer I was expecting..

JB.... I hope you get a good one!!!!!!!!!!!!

My T is going into the dealers on Tuesday for a closer look as I have filled out 2 surveys about my new car and neither would be classed as a possitive result. I think my dealer knows I am now serious about this problem and will not accept anything less than a clunk free car. I was also told about the clunking being there since the AU, but I told them that it is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I will let you all know how I go on tuesday...If I get told No Fault Found again I will be going to a driveline specialist to get the problem diagnosed by someone who does not suffer from NFI
