The rest I'll assemble myself. The turbo may have too be replaced as I have a bit of in out shaft play, the bearings do still sound good on shut down though. I was thinking Pulsar GTX3584RS GEN2. All the stuff around the house the missus wanted has finally been completed so she's given me the green light for this build. I was going to try and squeeze out around 350 rwkt's with the existing engine, but I'm not so confident in it holding together, although some have gone a lot higher with out issues. Do it right first time.

fox1972 Member 47 Member For: 6y 2m 11d Posted 27/05/23 08:07 AM Author Share Posted 27/05/23 08:07 AM I had a 1976 XB 2 Door coupe with a 351 clevo that I rebuilt with with de-compressed JE forged pistions with a B&M under bonnet supercharger with one of the first holley projection systems 25 years ago. It was running the 12psi pulley and this thing was putting out 780hp at the wheels and was a beast. I did a 9.5 at eastern creek with it in 1998 shortly before I sold it. Every year on my holdidays, I would pull the engine out and strip it to check for wear, and those JE pistons were bullet proof. Never ever an issue. Only issue was the occasional bent pushrod. 12 hours ago, Tom Tucker said: That Pulsar turbo is a good option if you replace the stock low mount. Yeah I want to keep the standard low mount turbo, mainly for the stock looking option rather than the high mount. I was looking at the 6 boost manifold in the standard configuration, only for the option to run an external gate, rather than the mechanical gate on the turbo, but I guess that wouldn't make that much difference anyway. The plan is two have two tunes for this build. 350 - 400 rwkts for daily street use on 98, 500+ and e85 for the power cruise days. Just the spool kits have no real indication of power levels on their website. that's why I'm here asking. I should ask clint my tuner, but he's usually too busy to have a decent conversation with. I wouldn't push them past 1800 crank hp unless I was testing lol 😂

Ahhh...that's why I was asking. Spool give no numbers. They have a lot of kits, but no numbers. My engine budget is 10k. Like I said...I have the green light from the ministry of finance. Puffwagon,I actually followed one of your earlier threads. You had lots of ups and downs with a build, If I have the right thread. So many here and so many posters. Puffwagon, with your knowledge, if you had 10k to spare, what would you build today.!!! In the 550 rwkt range. BTW thx for your input and knowledge. I really appreciate it.
