I've had it with this car we are now pricing a rebuild thinking lifted the head any final thoughts what it could be? Thanks in advance.

Straight after it everytime I stopped it would dump the coolant out the overflow. Tried a new OEM cap and bottle same and then another cap same issue. Mechanic said I had a head gasket. I put the old cap back on and fixed. That was 7 years ago and for the last 2 years its had 470rwkw at 25 psi..

The main reason for that is a faulty thermostat. They can fark out quickly with no warning, so it's worth the $20 to chuck a new one in. Get a thermometer and chuck the old one in a pot on the stove for a sanity check. If the car has been overheated before I'd have concerns about head gasket integrity, but otherwise there is no chance the head was lifted at 16psi. Apparently it's doesn't do the same.job as a factory ford cap. 18 minutes ago, gsd112 said: I had a coolant flush with a new overflow bottle and cap from repco for my FG. I've got an aftermarket cap and overflow without any issues.
