Just purchased ba xr6turbo manual problem starting when ambient temp is above 25 degrees, drove it to work at 6 in morning ran fine went to start it at lunch wouldn't start had dash lights no fuel pump or start ,I'm an autoelectrician if I bridge 30 and 87 on fuel pump relay and jump 30 to 87 on starter relay underbonnet with key on it starts and runs,it's getting 12 volt to fuel pump pull in contacts 85 and 86 and it gets starter signal from key on starter relay but they won't energise checked relays there fine ,

Intermittent does sound like electrics... but your specialty in looking into those sorts of problems probably means you've ruled everything out... so I've got nothing left to help you from my own guessing, but I'm sure somebody else will come along with another idea :)

Have you checked the condition of the ignition barrel contacts? I have a bf turbo and the back of the barrel randomly popped out one day, might be worth a look.

Could be man, it's happened before. Some of the guys on the PCMTec forum are very knowledgeable in this matter, and go above and beyond to help others.
