So my fourth Bosch 044 is on its way out in the last 10 years. I see they are now replaced with the 200 series which I might get. Question is, if I change to a pierburg Will I need a retune or will the regulator just sort the pressure increase out?

I only ask as my tuner is injured and out of action for a while. I don't want to go elsewhere so if I need a retune I might just grab a 200 series for now.

What Pierberg did you have in mind? It's not so much the re-tune aspect; consider if the pump you're thinking about flows way more than the factory reg can handle. Should that be the case you would upgrade your fuel pressure reg along with logging fuel pressure to verify the return line can handle the increased flow during idle and decel states.

The Pierburg 360 LPH. I have a process west original surge tank. I see plenty of people use them. They claim to flow plenty more than 044's
