k31th less WHY; more WOT Site Developer 29,410 Member For: 17y 6d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 28/10/22 03:36 AM Share Posted 28/10/22 03:36 AM could be a collapsed cat... e.g. with a small amount of flow (lower revs) it doesn't obstruct the flow but once it gets into higher revs with the same boost level there's more air flowing through per second and it gets blocked a bit so the turbo gets more backpressure and spikes the boost up higher than it should... only a guess, though. Best to take it to a dyno/mechanic and run it up to see what it's doing. If it's aftermarket, it could just be cat-back, but if it's dump or cat + cat-back, it can cause issues with a stock tune.
