I'll ask her again next time I speak to her.

I'm also interested in getting Shelley onto these courses, probably Stage 1 & Stage 2 - especially if they could be run concurrently... ie Friday/Saturday

Can someone that's done the Ian Luff Stage 1 give some details ?

The Drive to Arrive course that I did was mostly theory, probably 70% of the time spent in a classroom, and 30% in the car putting the theory to the test - is the Ian Luff course like this ? What's the breakdown between theory and practice ? How much time do you actually spend in the car ?

Thanks !

I would like to send SWMBO as she has never done this before.

I would only be interested in level3, but have not done the luffy level 1.

The majority of the stage 1 course is run behind the wheel of your car.

It was probably a 70:30 split between the practical and theory stuff. (70% practical/30% theory)..

As it's a 'Drive to Survive' course, the guys show you photo's of various accidents/situations, as well as pointing out some meaningful statistics about road safety etc.

In my opinion, well worth the entry fee.

Matrix is on the money... although I did the stage 1 course with work about 3 years ago now it is well worth the time and money. It was a big eye opener for me at the time.

I had a 3 week old EF II company car and it was great to get a feel for what the car would do on the skidpan. It really highlighted the benefits of ABS brakes.
