I've seen this happen before but didn't have a chance to do anything to rectify it. It would be worth swapping the converter first and see if it helps, but more than likely the converter and gearbox frictions are damaged. As you aren't doing any of the work yourself, you should consult with your mechanic to work out which is the best way forward financially. Or you could do nothing at all, live with the surging issue and replace the lot if it ever starts slipping. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
