Would anyone have any recommendations for Ford XR6 Turbo / FPV F6 servicing in the greater Melbourne area?  I think with some of the past well-known tuning places in Melbourne turning down servicing nowadays (from my recent ring around) I am happy to extend my search to anywhere in the greater Melbourne area.  Thanks :beerchug:

@ratter - Mick @ Pitlane would definitely do it mate !

Even I went there from Little old Adelaide once, for other reasons but extremely professional ;)

you only went there to prove SA rwkw is higher than VIC rwkw :stirthepot:

Plus... he clearly doesn't want to go as far as Frankghanistan

Do we know if he is closed for good or just temporary? I was planning to give pitlane a call soon as I need a head gasket and rear main done. Pitlane modded and tuned my car over 12 years ago and never had a problem until recently.

Who else can be trusted these days?

I reckon just go around to local mechanics and if you get a good vibe from the people you speak to, give them a try and if you get reasonable prices & customer service, that's good enough. It's just basic servicing, any mechanic can get it done to the standard you'd expect. Proper mechanical work like engines/gearboxes/diffs/aircon get specialists to do that sort of work. Go to the tuners for tuning only, imho.

Or just buy a few tools and get it done yourself :)
