In other news...

Someone half a block away hired a band and they've been belting out the hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s for the past 6 hours. Finally have shut the fark up so I can sleep now but honestly the music wasn't even bad :buttrock:

In other news, the power has been out since 12am this morning, lucky I bought a generator a while back and I now have internet, computer, fridge/freezers, coffee, and plugged in the clothes washer and dryer just cos I can.

Yes that's true but this wasn't bought upon impulse, nearly nothing I buy is. Having the power out many times over the years in summer lead us to getting a generator. Ain't nobody got time for 35C+ days with no AC. If a fire comes through we can be out for several days at a time and fark that sh*t.

fair enough, that's understandable. I haven't had the power go out for a long time, here in the suburb I live (old place, of course, not enough time in the new place yet to make a reasonable determination, but it's in the same suburb).

I said to the missus that we should go fishing and she said we can't cos we don't have a light on our boat.

Cue finding led light bar with fog and spot lights, making brackets, sorting wiring, install into boat and farken violin, I now have a farken sick light on my boat.

Happy days and looking forward to some night fishing :fishin:

Yep I've always liked being outdoors, camping and fishing etc. I'm not as partial to the killing and skinning of animals, but it's part of life as a meat eater. If I can buy it from the shop, I can get my knife out and do it myself. It gives you more empathy towards life I think. Plus it's a day out on the boat with family and friends which is nice.
