On ba bf FG sedan. ..how important are rear bump stops? I read somewhere that the factory ones actually form part of the spring and shock rate...the way ford desighned it from factory. Is this true? Are the factory bump stops that criticle?

Reason I ask is that the nolthane/Whiteline ones I have now are shorter then the factory ones and shorter the superpro oneswould it be wise for me to swap with factory ones or superpro longer ones? Or am I being picky haha..

they're bump stops... all they do is stop the metal components from smashing into one another on the way up, basically.

well yeah, they "increase the stiffness" at the top of the travel, but that's the entire point of preventing the suspension components from hitting each other.. if you're regularly hitting your bump stops on normal roads in a Falcon, you've got other issues :)
