Mitchy G,

I guess you can just turn up anywhere, but you're gonna miss out on some great fun and driving with other Ts. Where's your commitment champ? It's only a quick drive down the freeway to Berowra. I live on the northern end of the Central Coast and I attend all the events that I can, no matter where they are. C'mon, don't be shy.

Anyway, I will PM you with my phone details so you can call me when you know what your doing and I will let you know where we are.

Andrew

Can't really help you here mate, never done that trip before ... sorry.

I can say that it depends on who you have with you, e.g., if you were doing the trip with SWMBO it'd take about 3 friggin days.

"Are you speeding?",

"Can we stop, I need to go to the toilet",

"Can we stop, I'm hungry",

"What speed are you doing?",

"Can we stop, I need to stretch my legs",

"What's the speed limit along here?",

"Can we stop, I need a drink",

"SLOW DOWN!",

...

"Can we stop, I need to go to the toilet again", ...

According to http://www.whereis.com, Adelaide to Sydney is a 1400km trip. It also recons a 19 hour drive, but that is way off I would suspect. I recon maybe 15 hours would be the more accurate assumption.

I'm actually leaving for Sydney (and beyond) on the Friday morning (about 6am). Most likely leaving before you get to Canberra... Anyways, the drive to sydney from Canberra is actually quite easy. Practically dual carrage way the whole way. Without stopping the drive to the sydney outskirts can take about 2hr 15 minutes or so. Just be careful not to speed when going around lake george, along the federal highway (gunning police usually there) and slow down around the Goulburn bi-pass ;) these seem to be the major police hotspots along the way.

Voy, to add to that...

Also watch out around Collector just after Lake George, and when your nearing Sydney watch out at the bottom of the Big Dipper (Massive downhill then uphill section you won't miss it, got a windsock at the start between north and southbound lanes), always a cop snuggled up in there.

If ya got a CB, use channel 40 like your life depends on it.

If you don't, and your still interested in my setup give us a call (PM on its way) and I'll pop around whilst your in Canberra to show you mine.
