Hi. Mate has a FG turbo ute

Getting code knock sensor 2 short .

So swapped sensor with a known hood one from a ba turbo.

Same part number etc.

It's only has the one sensor on it so mechanic swapped it for him.

Used a snap on scanner and no code showed

Today I scanned it with forscan and had code come back again. Also a knock sensor 1 code aswell ......

This car does not have 2 sensors...why does it keep saying this and also now other code ?

Car goes fine...is modified but drives...looks imaculant

well, FG's are "supposed" to have two... you can take out the 2nd one (after the cat) and it will throw a code which you can disable in the tune. That's probably what needs to be done.

well, that was a brain explosion if I've ever had one... I read "knock sensor" and my brain converted that to "oxygen sensor" lol.... ignore everything I said.

Knock sensor not O2 sensor k31th...
No idea as to your code issue unfortunately, maybe a short in the wiring somewhere or they have been disabled for the tune and forget to enable them again?
I also thought that FG's had two knock sensors???

Seems I was 1min late in burning keith...

Sounds like you need to check the rear knock sensor.

That's the story of my life lol. Having the worst memory in the history of men makes me susceptible to "what was I just talking about" and "what's that tool you turn the cork screw thingy on to undo a nut or bolt"...
CRAFT in other words!

There are the 2 knock sensors. The rear one is hard to get to unless you have a very long skinny arm or a hoist.
