Also different flywheel diameter to the turbo hence need a na clutch for direct replacement. Or need to look for a turbo bell housing. But probably not worth it unless going for massive power. Yes, but I believe they only added them in the mk 2 fg, like late 09 2010 onwards
eff xr6t Member 569 Member For: 11y 2m 18d Posted 15/10/21 09:53 PM Share Posted 15/10/21 09:53 PM You just need to buy a clutch to suit a ba/bf turbo when using a n/a bellhousing.

Joenash85 Member 58 Member For: 4y 4m 6d Posted 17/10/21 03:01 AM Author Share Posted 17/10/21 03:01 AM Thanks for that, so they're the same size clutch, how many things did the fg n/a take from the ba/bf turbo?
eff xr6t Member 569 Member For: 11y 2m 18d Posted 18/10/21 05:12 AM Share Posted 18/10/21 05:12 AM They just took the bell housing size as it didnt need the larger size to hold the stock power. You can still fit the same size 11inch clutch in a ba/bf bellhousing it just needs to be machined down on the cover which is what mal wood option 3 and direct clutch do with them. The Fg turbo bell housing was made to take the 11inch cover unmodified and has a larger ring gear with different starter position.
