Bazza11 Member 53 Member For: 3y 8m 25d Posted 16/09/21 12:40 PM Share Posted 16/09/21 12:40 PM I’m looking to buy this fg turbo and noticed that it had a grey rocket cover which unusual to me because usually they are only on the n/a models. I was wondering if they also came with the turbos or if it has been turbo converted

And is it more risky buying a turbo converted fg

I wish I could upload the engine bay photo but this site doesn’t allow 5mb or more

TRYME Member 313 Member For: 3y 8m 25d Posted 16/09/21 01:42 PM Share Posted 16/09/21 01:42 PM (edited) No need man... grey rocker cover means it's either had an engine swap or a rocker cover swap (which is unlikely) check the engine numbers.... if it started life as a turbo and now has a NA engine in it.... I wouldn't be buying unless it's dirt dirt cheap.. its more likely to be an NA which has had turbo gear thrown onto it... TRYME Member 313 Member For: 3y 8m 25d Posted 18/09/21 04:09 AM Share Posted 18/09/21 04:09 AM BTW is it a grey top as in the raw finish that the NA motors have? Or is it grey as in its been painted grey? It's not uncommon these days for rocker covers to be painted in different colours?
