Rosey Member 46 Member For: 5y 1m 12d Posted 14/09/21 11:06 AM Author Share Posted 14/09/21 11:06 AM I disagree. I have fitted and listened to aftermarket ICC inclusive kits in BA Falcons and Territory’s , and looking past the ‘niggles’ it was the sound quality that was the disappointment . I couldn’t spend the quoted $1600 for a system ( car play and rear camera etc ) on something that didnt sound any better than the factory unit. In the case of radio reception it wasn’t as good as the Ford unit. They certainly looked flash with lots of bells and whistles, and if that’s what you want then all good. But not for me. The major brands have been major brands because they offer improved sound, reliability , and ‘build ability’ . I installed a major brand , and the depth ,stereo separation , and quality of the sound that comes from my existing Ford XR6 speakers continues to put a silly grin on my face 😋 These kits will finally you allow a choice of head units, so ‘ …do yourself a favour… ‘ have have a listen to a unit before you get out your wallet. I have no problem with aerpro products, but I feel this one misses the mark... if anybody is looking for audio quality, they should be going RCA-out to amplifiers and quality speakers, not sticking with the stock speakers. But the improvement with a quality head unit in my Ford is excellent. A quality audio unit is only as good as it’s weakest link.
