When it did go on the vibrations caused triggered something (knock sensors??) that screwed with the idle. This was back when everything was stock - can imagine it'd be even worse on a tuned engine. At idle it would drop down into the 11volt range. New alternator and all good. My mate with a 2011 XR6T had the same issue. His alternator was fine but the ECU voltage would tank at idle into the 11volt range, He had a underdrive kit on his so he purchased a smaller pulley for the Alternator and voltage never dropped below 13.5v. No more idle problems! Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/96409-stalling-issue/#findComment-1726060 Share on other sites
