My goal is 350-400kw and I'd like to be able to go for a circuit run without the transmission overheating to limp mode. Assuming I'd be sitting at lower 300's for a circuit tune, although maybe more..

Does anyone have any opinions on which trans cooler would be the most suitable for this application? I'm wondering if I'd be better off grabbing an engine oil cooler and hooking the transmission lines up to that for more cooling power.

What does the forum think?

You will need a bypass system with a cooler and fan. There are a few cooler/fan combo's that are universal that you can fit up.

I originally used a Davies Craig cooler with fan and electronic controller (early model) but I found the tube n fin cooler not to be as heavy duty as I wanted, so I swapped out the cooler for a more robust bar n plate design and used the fan and controller with that. My cooler set up doesn't get over 80c and is often quite low around 50-60c on open road and highway.

I use this cooler, its way better than the Davies Craig and PWR designs. It looks to small but works really well.
