If chasing above power is there any benefit to starting with a turbo base, over a na base when most of the turbo gear would go in the bin. ( Or sold second hand) The na base would have to be a 6speed zf g6e. The negatives I have so far. - Boost control (need eboost2 as pcm won't have the strategy)- something about the idle/ run down won't be correct ( but I believe this may be fixed with pcmtech and fitting a map sensor or something. Haven't 100% solved this just yet)- Brakes. Need upgraded fronts. - Would need a turbo intake manifold setup, (or a proflow one) I would buy a gas motor (for the valves) and build this (forged goodies again) Would buy a turbo zf and build this. Input shaft, clutches, solenoids, bushes. Diff. Buy a turbo diff centre, Repco turbo axles, replace the rear hubs with turbo ones, and do the bushes while I'm there. Everything else is common or would be upgraded. Upgraded exhaust manifold. G42 size turbo, custom dump and intake. Built tailshaft. Then intercoolerPiping.Fuel systemEtc

Nearly everything is interchangeable with turbo platform and or going to be better so I can’t see much of an issue with going the cheaper option first to build on

Nah, I like both, I just prefer manual. I've thought about the exact same thing you're doing, just manual instead. I think if I was doing an auto, I'd go a ute, with massive tubs.
TRYME Member 313 Member For: 3y 11m 3d Posted 06/07/21 04:04 PM Share Posted 06/07/21 04:04 PM (edited) Starting from NA is way cheaper considering cost of turbos these days and Shouldn't be an issue as your gonna change most things anyways... what's your plan engine wise? What sort of Rod piston combo? glad you've listed brakes as a mod standard kit is terrible for a perf car Edited 06/07/21 04:07 PM by TRYME

Already got a little spicy. Set of H scat rods came up for $300 on market place. Missed out on them by 15 minutes. Filthy
