Clearly hopping onto this thread a little late but f*&k it I'll put in my 2 cents worth. 😂

Backstory first!

I'm 24, so I haven't owned as many "fast" cars as many others here. My first car was an NA imprezza, 4spd auto. Absolute unit, slow asf.

My brother had an NA FG at the time, and I used to think his car was a weapon, keep in mind this was compared to my wee 4 banger.

We both ended up getting FG xr6t's, he got one before me, a MK2 FG. Getting a ride in that was like next level! Crazy quick!

Same goes for when I picked up my stock FG turbo.

Add another year from then, I've since had the car tuned and is making 314kw at the hubs. Essentially maxed out the stock setup of an FG turbo (on 98).

This car is a daily for me, so I try my best not to break it or do stupid sh*t.... But I must admit the car gets a beating 😂

For me, this car is more than quick enough for the time being. I have plans to push for more at the end of the year, but for now as a daily I reckon its perfect! Can chop a few commies.

Friend of mine just got his F6E done at MT, ended up with 500+kw at the hubs, would love a ride in that thing to measure its speed with my butt dyno.

Awesome, that's where I'm leaning too. 300ish on stock turbo with parts that will handle more so I don't break it easily.

If I get good parts it shouldn't take much more to get it up to more power if I ever decided too.

Stock blew my mind too haha

All do the same job, but there's variations on quality I have plazmaman awesome

Quality but expensive....

a lot of people get the antz one these days as there abit cheaper can't comment on quality as I've never seen one in the flesh maybe someone else on here can comment on that

I got an Antz and quality of everything seems really good. I was nervous about the Antz branded filter though, so got a K&N. That's not science though, just my own piece of mind!

Is hectic loud so I made the exhaust louder to balance it out

Absolute best thing about it though is no more removing the crossover pipe to do every second job on the car - was worth it just for that!

I have Plazmaman turbo side intake (included is a big K&N filter) and battery relocation and their intercooler pipe kit. BOV is plumbed back.
Intune Motorsports throttle body elbow.
Process West stepped intercooler (tuner was impressed with intake temps even after many back to back pulls).554b6d16c2ef94d72bc3107ca39162dc.jpg

I got antz turbo relo kit. My brother has the mackielec. both the same, both good. Same goes for the plazzy and process west variants. They are all decent imo. Just depends on what brand you prefer and budget.

I also got the intune motorsport IC piping kit. Good bang for buck. Got their ali throttle elbow too but that was junk. had a lot of casting marks and thin metal spiky things all over the inside. Went at it with die grinder bits to clean up the inside of it.

I'd go with a plazzy one if I had to choose again.

310kw imo is awesome for a daily and for getting used to high performance cars. Car handles it like a champ, everything else in the driveline atm is stock and has no issues with the power. Can easily shred tyres, however I got really sh*t ones for the back so that also helps 😂

Got the trans flushed when I got the car, and also did the diff oil and diff bushes. All things I'd recommend to anyone getting one of these falcons 2nd hand.

At least get the bushes inspected, they'll probably be cooked 😂

@cat007 I got the stepped cooler as well  handled 500rwkw with no issue on the dyno ( was winter though) am about to upgrade now as going for big build but never had an issue with it even in summer (not that I could feel anyway) good intercooler.

@biddie_fiddler process west make great coolers I love mine, but back in 2015 there turbo side intake and battery relo in my opinion was ok but far inferior to plazmamans in look, quality and fit, they may have improved em since then but I'm not sure... glad to hear the mackielec and antz are good quality the plazmaman one is nice but is abit of a rip, if the antz and mackielec were around back then I would of tried one of those fair bit cheaper......

I'm glad your intune piping kit was good quality, my brother had bought one and it did the job for a while but the finishing was terrible scratches and dings on it and the hose clamps corroded out within a few months......

Never had an issue with the piping or clamps, the finish was good and they came with ss clamps.

The ones I got with the plazzy I/c though, they we next level. Some heavy duty hose clamps to hold all that boooost
