Yea without launching you should be ok for a while, but 400kw with any real good tyre  your eventually gonna have dramas with your rear end it's just part and parcel of having a car with that much power (crazy Barra people say oh 400 is nothing on a Barra but 400rwkw is actually big power) my advice just get a good set of tyres don't launch and you should be pretty sweet for a good while.... down the track you mite need to spend some cash but anyone with that sort of car will you can't avoid it......

another thing to note being a ute they havnt exactly got a performance rear end in them anyway which dosent help the cause.... my advice get some good tyres Michelin's if your on the road all the time ( don't get semis if you daily drive the car, to much chance of a prang in the wet seriously not worth it)

actually just re read the thread noticed it's a weekender semis mite be good for you then if your never gonna drive in the wet..... youl notice a huge difference over what you have atm

Yeah I did the same with my bf turbo and it didn't snap or bend one little bit. I'm currently running a metric butt tonne of power in my territory and it hasn't broken yet either, although I take it somewhat easy on it...knock on wood :hammerhead:

clearly nothing to do with all of the jogs beforehand ;)

ha

nah I run 20s with cheap tyres so no strain.

only went to drags before once to heathcote half dozen runs. that's it.

I do know others who have stock input shaft and tail shaft and rave raced dozens and dozens of times no issues.

all just luck.

So... ended up biting the bullet and just received some 15x10 Jegs for the rear of my xr6t ute

Shave a bit off the banjo bolt on the rear brakes and had the guards rolled and they fit pretty snug

wrapped in mickey thompsons et Streets 275/50/15 on a lowered ute looks good.

Now to test the stock shaft out... wont be launching at all! just trying to eliminate power skidding at 4000rpm.😂

surely would be okay, guess time will tell...
