Hey guys,

So I've enquired with my local tuner about getting a 'fart' in between shifts on my 4spd and was wondering if anyone else has made this possible. My tuner tried, he said the car will do it but it doesn't make any noise. Is there something I am missing that I can inform him about? I like the sound of this and apparently it can reduce stress on the box, hence why I am after this option if possible. Cheers.

well, that noise you're talking about is torque reduction in the tune with a tiny bit of slip... the stock 4spd can't really do it, that I know of, since it's a gear engagement setup with solenoids rather than clutches that slip... in saying that, I'm not an expert on the 4spd so it may be possible I just don't know of the requirements to get it done if they exist.

Yeah nah it's only available  in the FG onwards. Something something software.

Apparently you can get a shift bang according to @BeerTurbo which is probably just as good as a fart.

Eh it doesn't matter. Nah I haven't played with the traction control in the tune yet. I don't use it atm with awd but it would be good to see how capable it is with a touch up.

Yea not many have tried it, just interested. My tuner hasn't played with it yet so he isn't very interested. If it could get a bit out at the top of 2nd and 3rd there is some time there. Might be half decent for the wet as well.
