Where is the cat located on a 2014 FG MkII turbo?

you’re a spanker, it’s an “Olive” flange joint, the collar flange is free floating 

 

Yes it’s free floating on the factory section too 🤪

 

That’s as bolt in 5 minutes as it gets, yeh it’s a few bucks but it’s full SS and can flow bucket loads

just because I don't know the exact name doesn't mean it's not as "bolt in" as it says anyway, just buy the $180 cat and go to your local exhaust shop and say "cut that out and weld this in, please" ... done.

Unbolt cat, bash cat out, bolt in cat. Problem solvered

Unbolt cat, knock out restriction ring, bolt cat back in.

 

With the ring gone the cat is no longer the restricted part of the exhaust
