Hey Guys,

We just took delivery of our XR6 Today and I am just curious, the centre console thing where you put the cds and your change, you can open it until one point, then you can click it into place so it stays.

When I click mine into place it make a big shuddering sound, is this normal till it is worn in?

Paul

P.s the car is awesome!

Mine used to open to a certain point and then stay up. Lately it gets to a certain point, then there is a big 'crack' noise, and then it stays up. So, no, I don't think it will go away - my car is 1 year old in about 2 weeks time.

Ok thanks for that, should I get it looked at?

Go back to a dealership and have a wander around, and try out some other console lids. If you honestly think yours is making a excessive noise, report it to your service department.

Usually when a car is so new, they will replace small things like console lids fairly easily. My fuse box in the engine bay was lightly scratched, they replaced it, no fuss. :spacecraft:
