Hey guys so I have a new fg xr6 turbo ute and the rear tyres have seen better days and I was wondering what are some good tyres I can put on to make sure I have some good traction at a fair price currently even under less than half throttle below 60ks is enough to get it sideways which while fun it would be nice to put my foot down and not Go sideways when I don’t want to haha I currently have 245/40/18s on the rear so what would be your best Recommendations? Thanks in advance!

My car smashes tyres the way I drive so don’t see the point in running $300 tyres on the rear..

The front is where you spend the dollars to keep the nose gripped up...

I would think 300 bucks is not expensive for a 275 or 285 tyre. The  higher end stuff like Conti Sport6, Pirelli or Pilot Supersport that I use are all over 500. All the grip in the world at the front wont help if the rear comes around.

I was quite happy with Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tyres on my ute. Much better than factory tyres and certainly better than the Falkens I was running on my last ute.

The pilot sport 4s are pricey, but probaly the best all weather "street" tyre you'll find without going too slicks
