John smith New Member 6 Member For: 4y 5m 23d Posted 05/08/20 11:53 AM Share Posted 05/08/20 11:53 AM Hey guys so I have a new fg xr6 turbo ute and the rear tyres have seen better days and I was wondering what are some good tyres I can put on to make sure I have some good traction at a fair price currently even under less than half throttle below 60ks is enough to get it sideways which while fun it would be nice to put my foot down and not Go sideways when I don’t want to haha I currently have 245/40/18s on the rear so what would be your best Recommendations? My car smashes tyres the way I drive so don’t see the point in running $300 tyres on the rear.. The front is where you spend the dollars to keep the nose gripped up... The higher end stuff like Conti Sport6, Pirelli or Pilot Supersport that I use are all over 500. All the grip in the world at the front wont help if the rear comes around.
