So yeah the money wasting continues... After spending nearly 10k between the trans and the water meth kit, the car lasted about 3 weeks before the oil pump exploded it's *beep* all through the timing cover and sump.

This round of stuff I've ordered to get it up and running again lists thusly;

Horse Power Junkie High Volume Barra Billet Oil Pump

Atomic Heavy Duty Posi-Stop Barra DOHC Timing Chain Tensioner

Atomic Barra Heavy Duty Timing Chain

Atomic (Barra BA-FGX) Atomic billet steel crankshaft sprocket

Atomic Solid Checking Lifter - Ford DOHC 6 Cylinder, DOHC V8 and V10 DOHC Modular Engine

Dyno-Mite Performance BA-FGX Barra Fire Ring Gasket Kit in 39 thou

Atomic Roller Rocker Set

The billet crank is gonna have to wait cos I ain't made of money. Also gonna order bearings once the motor is apart cos I might not even need them, but also it might have farked a crank pin in which case I'll be using a ten under crank I have here.

Will drop the head off to fix the cam journal and a quick skim and also pick up some strong ass acid to clean the cams. Gonna re-ring it while it's apart and close the second ring gap a teeny tiny bit from 28 down to 26 thou, leave the top at 22. Should help a little with blow by....maybe?!

Anyway enough waffle, more updates will come eventually.

Well my turbo crank sprocket got farked when it broke so ordered a new one of those. I do have an atomic ratcheting timing chain tensioner (stock tensioner with an A engraved into it?!), but given that I'm gonna rev it, I'd rather have the piece of mind that it can't come loose. Roller rockers are because I've already broken a rocker running 40+psi and plan to do so again, so yerp don't want any more failures there. Oil pump for similar reasons. Copper head gasket so I can reuse it, this won't be the last time this motor is apart for upgrades/refresh/maintenance. Solid checking lifter so I can dial in the cam timing precisely.

Basically this a is list of things to repair it and get some more reliability while I'm at it.

Still gotta sort out the head etc but have just been waiting until things are closer to the day. Not long now lol :launch:

Edit: Already have atomic vernier gears.

So yerp, didn't want to post until it was resolved but here it is.

I had ordered a copper head gasket through Goleby's as part of the list of repair items for my car. Some freaking numpty packed the order and the flamin box that it was packed in was shorter than the actual gasket! What do ya reckon that did to the gasket when it was all packed and wrapped?! It bent the everloving fark out of it, aka a 90 degree bend in part of it, a slight twist through the teeny tiny little bits between the cylinders and another decent bend as well. Bent and warped enough that I sure as sh*t wouldn't install it on a customer car, and would seriously think twice about using it myself, even after straightening it out.

Full credit to them, I made a phone call, sent them some pics and without question they sent a new one express post, which arrived a couple of days later. That's not a cheap gasket guys!!!

So yeah, happy days, did not want to run a damaged gasket, whether or not it held up.
