Haha after seeing this play out I wouldn't rev a stock oil pump past 7k. Even that is probably on borrowed time for some pumps. They're cast so there can be great pump bodies and sh*t ones, kinda like the blocks.

Had to file the crank for the pump to fit, cbf going into detail but if anyone runs into the same issue, or just wants to know, I'll be happy to elaborate. Also stock fasteners don't work with the oil pump pickup. A pic or two as is customary

I think I'll have to modify my dump slightly I think but that's easy enough. This turbo should make enough power to not want more but we'll see. 2

Maybe is a typo? I ordered a turbo oil feed reg so I don't send 100+psi of oil pressure into the turbo. Also grabbed an Innovate ECB-1 cos my current wideband is dying out the arse and yerp just some engine mounts, nothing that exciting lol. I dropped the head off today, just gonna get it faced and the valve seats repaired. Could have gone larger valves etc but decided to be a tight arse as usual and spend only whats necessary. Head will be done next week so should be back together in 2 weeks

If you look up the specs on the Garrett website you'll see there are only minor differences between a G42 and a G45. In fact some G42s will make more power than some G45s. The main difference with the G45 series is the much larger rear housing and turbine wheel. The Pulsar turbo that I've got has the same specs as the largest G45.
