Yeah the rail idea was either gonna work or it wasn't. Turns out it did! Probably cost more in time than just buying a rail but I was curious to see if it'd work.

So with the boost control, I spent some time last night road tuning it to 23psi and it was all good. The only thing I did differently to the tune to go from the 485 it first ran up today, was put the desired boost to 26psi. I haven't even had a chance to look through the logs yet as I left work at about 7pm. It certainly looks like it is boost creeping but I'll need to see what's actually going on.

I just looked at the log and it is showing 23psi, give or take less than half a pound, through the whole run. I have measured 30psi on a shift before so I know the log isn't pegged out or anything. I'll investigate further and see what is happening.

I spent some time thinking about how to make the page more presentable and readable and that's what I came up with. I'm still very much a dyno noob so hopefully it gets better from here!

I just ordered a FG rocker cover, coil cover, coils and coil plugs to adapt to my car.

We'll see how that goes and if I run into further issues I'll do a hectic upgrade.

Whatever works man. I'll try this little upgrade first as it is fairly cheap and will tidy up the engine bay slightly.

I'm all for sending it to the moon eventually though :spacey:

@Grego.77 did the FG coil swap for a neater look and to hope it fixed his misfire issues up top. Turned out his issues all along were valve spring related. Plaz springs couldn't cut it and I think he also said the crow didn't either (three valve spring changes in the end) but will have to check our messenger conversation... He went a colder plug too.
Is the dwell different with the FG coils?

As for the pcm not being able to cut it for the ignition, I asked Dave at CPV (specifically for Greg's issue and if he had used the boosters) and his reply was that he's never needed a spark booster regardless of power.
Unsure if he's willing to offer personal advice to any tuners but it seems he has done many times in the past and is a nice bloke to talk to anyway...
@Puffwagon How's the ZF holding up? Have you changed any settings yet for it?
Killer power btw also!

Mine isn't misfiring up top, it's mainly misfiring with too much much boost and or fuel.

I forgot to lower the plug gap so they are still at 0.7mm.

The trans is fine, I don't do full power shifts anymore so it will stay alive until I upgrade.
