A very expensive built engine just went sideways from this very situation but as suspected sub par tuning was to blame and backed up by a third party. Sounds like you’re pushing that fuel system in one way or another as x2 525’s must be up around 50A full tilt. I tuned it with the knock detection in place and there was no knock at all on the dyno or the road. Ironically the couple of inches of stock wiring (plug under pot with an inch to the pumps) that was left in there was still working, albiet getting a little warm. I think there is an issue with the bulkhead fittings, as I'm not the only one who has experienced them melting. I have a 50A fuse for the setup and nothing else is melted except the stock wiring that was leftover and now gone, and the bulkhead fittings. So yerp will get at it tomorrow and see how I go. It'll be the same as wiring a twin pump external surge tank so should be easy enough. If I can't get it sorted, I'll just run one pump until I can sort it. I've started testing and the wiring I did is nice and cool while the wiring I bought in a "relay kit" is getting hot after about 1 minute of running. I'm gonna fark that relay and wiring off and put new wiring and a new relay in. The relays get a bit hot but you can still touch them easily and the wiring is frig all over ambient. I've used 6mm² wire throughout, 2 40A relays and the same 50A fuse at the start. The pumps do get a fair bit noisier when they are on together compared to just one pump at a time. So yerp, I'll chuck it all in conduit, cable tie that bitch and put the tank back in for the third time in 2 days. Happy days 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
