Penrite bmv. I got 4 litres into the trans and it said nope.

I've picked up a couple of bottles transmax and at $108 for 4 litres I hope it works a bit better.

Ive have had these dramas lately, unless you flush it you won't get it all back in there. I don't flush mine though, but have found filling and running gears 3-4 times at around 40 C fluid temp gets most in there. Also, a quick easy drive and letting sit a night and I can usually get at least 500ml plus in when its just starting to warm up. I doubt its the fluid even though I do use the Gulf Western SYN TS as well.

I've just gone out to the shed and measured the oil that came out of the trans. I put a full 4 litre bottle into it after dropping it and this is the level of the old oil, plus 200ml of extra fluid from the pump that I tipped in the drain pan. My thumb is at the 3 litre mark. I think it could still be a touch low, given this picture.

I made sure the filter was in and up properly with no old seal left behind.

I'll drop it again tomorrow, mod the filter intake and see how I get on.

The steel pan filter intake is roughly half the stock size and I've heard of transmissions not working well due to aftermarket filter restrictions.
