Running stock piping and recently compression tested the motor with good results. Any tips on where to check appreciated. Have yet to take the turbo off the engine but will if I have to. A bit of oil at the front of the turbo there is fairly normal but yours looks quite dirty from the photo. Does any oil smoke come out of the exhaust? if not, clean up the area and then drive it for a bit and see if there's any oil returned to that spot (a few drops is fine), if there is a bunch of oil like that photo soon after driving it again you probably have failing oil seals in your turbocharger. Will clean it up and keep note of it. If it did turn out to be turbo seals failing can that lead to complete turbo failure or just continue to leak. Will start the car with the piping off and see if oil comes through the compressor housing with some revs and boost. Will look into having the turbo looked checked as you said could be the seals.
