yes, the factory intercooler piping is right in the way of where an intake will run and the battery is also right in the spot you'd like to have an intake... you can have smaller pipes off the front of the turbo and weird positioning of the intake if you wish to avoid this stuff in a custom way, but usually that's just a "hot air intake" which isn't something that's good for performance.

BA-BF Turbo Side Intake AIRBOX Be sure to have relocated Battery. Either to boot,the passenger side or under headlight/behind bumper.

For battery relocation kits, be sure you are running aftermarket intercooler piping, factory intercooler piping will not work with turbo side intake kits as it will not allow the 4” pipe.
