I'm in love Good on you Mercturbo, yeah we understand that you will spend the next few days too busy being fordly fascinated and in love, and too busy to bother typing silly replies on websites. But CONGRATS mate, enjoy every 10th of a kilometre as they slowly tick by. Then when your feet hit the ground and you are nothing but deleriously happy. Pics and Build Number Please. Redhawk.I'm glad that the 5 litres was at oil change time, strange though because Lynford motors (great service guys) gave me 6 litres :o

My ford dealer didnt realise and rotated them for me instead of rotating the tyres only.Fixed the problem after I read it in the owners manual. I'd done 1200ks on them by then.that's probably something that the sales people should be telling buyers.Happy GTing

mercturbo Member 696 Member For: 21y 11m 1d Location: Geelong Posted 20/03/04 08:55 AM Share Posted 20/03/04 08:55 AM Yeh I'm here, 500 clicks on Sweet Red now, Its so hard to explain this awsome car without offending the turbo crew or prompting a comment about eating GT'S or something, so for now I'll just say Simon, Al and Hypno you are a bit restrained in your praise for this thing, It, in my opinion, is just, well, so far, AWSOME is the best word, as you all know I had the turbo for 27,000 fantastic k's and its still best bang for buck Aussie. Please let me compare a bit without belting us GT guy's too much. (Still trying to run her in, more phukn waiting) First thing you feel is the instant torque, its just there straight up, no delay, its just alway's there, on tap, the bonnet just jumps up, as Simon has said, driveability. The sound, well how to avoid sounding wanky on this, its just such a horny V8 growl that the spine tingles. Love the shaky idle. The road presence/looks are incredible, I had teenagers hanging out the window of another car just staring, The handling, from the few k's I,ve done, I feel much more comfortable and safe cornering at higher speed than ever, far more so than the turbo, it just does not break its line, it sits flatter, feels heaps better. Can't comment on the brakes so far as I havent used them much but at least no shudder, this is the best car I,ve ever had, and so it would wanna be for $19k more. I understand the price difference now. Congrats to any FPV crew and FoMoCo reading this as its the best ride of my life, excellent work, I would shout you a beer if I could :hiwelcome:

Hey the auto in this thing has a far firmer/positive shift than my turbo (maybe due to its being an all new high torque tranny). I havn't had any driveline shunt or anything yet like you were describing so I'm happy about that. Now I know and agree with everything you've said about these cars Cheers
