Congrats Mr Wool you have the lowest number so far (thanks Aniken).Hawky, you want to see the state of the tyres on the GT-P press car at a certain Perth Dealership. What ours will look like after April Drivers day I should imagine.

The really comfortable seats. Brembo brakes, did I mention the sound and all the other things the GT cars have, but have any of you defectors noticed that the Turbo is quicker. I'm being serious here not trying to start any fights but we have a couple of GT-Ps in our club and my stock standard T beats them to the 100 by 3/4's of a car length. Ones a manual which is a little quicker than the auto. The only time it is quicker seams to be in the licence loosing territoy. Since there is more in Aussie than NZ maybe you can tell me im wrong and that they have duds? If not bring on the Typhoon.

Posted 15/03/04 07:37 AM Share Posted 15/03/04 07:37 AM Your right mate, the T is a tad quicker to 100kph, but after that.........good night the fox!Personally I don't care about quickness it's the all round package of the GT that sold me.If I want quick I'll fit a supercharger, then probably have trouble getting the tyres to stick! Ask one of the GT owners in your club if you can have a drive of their car, I think you'll soon give 'quick' a lower priority! I picked up GT no 391 ( a merc silver black stripes Tiptronic-love the gearbox) out of the local show room here in Townsville on 12/12/03. Couldnt be bothered ordering something . Put 5000 k's on it in the first month. What can I say, sensational!.0-100k's and 1/4 mile times are irrelevant to us, its 1400k's to Brissy alone.Besides, there's nothing like the feel of a Big V8 under your Bum.There is a growing number of GT's finding their way into North Queensland. Even understand, there is a GT-P on Blocks in an airconditioned shed with carpet on the floor, about an hour to the south of here.

Here's one of us parked outside the Kurramine Beach Hotel (250k's north of Townsville)on our clubs ( the N.Q. Performance Ford Club ) 2nd run. My car is two days old in this Photo & has 1000k's on the clock. The Blood 'T'comes from ingham.Dont know much about the 'P'on blocks, but I understand the Family also has a Phase 3 in a similar shed. The beauty of these cars is in the driving!
