Totally agree Peter. I was telling Siccar, not to embarass himself by getting hosed down by an APS stage 3. I know that even the standard porky GT is on the edge against a stage one, a worked GT only just over a stage 2, a worked GT no chance over a stage 3. But at least we don't shut down at 230kph, and the GT does handle better. :k24t:

From what l saw a Calder a few weeks ago, a $15grand worked engine on a GT ......certainly did not impress me or the other turbo guys :ta::k24t::ta:

Bye the way

WHATS WRONG WITH BLUEPRINT!!!!!!!!!

:o

You're joking, right?

It's a common-as-arsholes ( :k24t: ), mega-fugly ( :o ), M&M colour that just screams "Hey! Look at me"!

Apart from that, it's ok, I guess ...

(Did I just start "colour wars XXVII"? )

A decent blower may paint a different picture (what was done). Theres more to these cars than hurtling down a strip in a straight line :k24t:

Mate if you need a hairdryer to hurtle your T down a strip (very bloody quickly I might add from your posted times) that's fine.

CAPA have already put 400kW on the bum of a supercharged XR8, so more must be acheivable.

My dreams have resulted in a Typhoon in my Garage in Dec to keep my GT company.

If you check the stats on REAL DRIVING, as in going around corners etc, you will see the T does not have too much to boast about compared to the GT. Put an extra 30 - 40% power into any factory engine you have to shorten its life, not to mention the life of the transmission (common sense physics). Your car is making a real quick time but big kW = Hand Grenade City. If it was all so easy and reliable FPV would have made the Typhoon 320kW with 650nm, they could have, but they didn't. WHY?
