Gday champs 

Going to replace my Fg ZF6 6 speed auto soon

Does anyone know if all the ZFs in FGs from 2010 to 2013 are same in xr6,xr6 turbo,G6e etc sedans and Ute or they are different?

do we have to change the mechatronics even we replacing the same Fg model and year?

N/A is different to turbo, but otherwise they're the same. just make sure it's a ZF 6HP26 when you get it. Tailshaft etc are different, but the gearbox itself isn't.

Can you swap box to either turbo or N/A but use the original electronics?

 

definitely best to find the right replacement box though or at least have the issue checked by a professional if it hasn't already been.

I probably go for 2012 or 13 FG model, mine is 2010 hopefully no issues 

any tips or anything to be considered if I do it myself?

if you know how to remove it, it's just the reverse procedure to install it... if you have issues with removing the gearbox then you're probably best off paying somebody to do it

Is it better to replace the PAN with tranny oil? I am thinking to put the oil cooler later on anyways

you should replace the plastic pan with a metal one, that's about it, unless you're building it for bigger power, but a tranny builder will do that anyway... and of course you should replace the heat exchanger with an external oil cooler if you've got a decent level of power.
